Doug Thompson

DougDoug comes from the hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, but he spent the first 30 years of his life living in many states across the nation. When he was fifteen he met Jesus and began the journey of faith that has led him here to Winchester. Doug came on staff at Winchester CCCU, after nine years of pastoral ministry in Mississippi and West Union, Ohio. Doug’s primary role at the church is to provide oversight of the discipleship of our youth and young adults.

Doug is happily married to Kathryn and they have two boys, Samuel and Josiah. Doug is obviously a family man, as shown by this statement: “If Jesus defines who I am and the church defines what I do, my family defines who I love most in this world, they are the very heart of my living.

Doug is excited about the future and passionate about seeing more and more of God’s lost children make the journey home.
