Why We Give
God influences the world through his people. He gives to us so He can give through us. The Bible tells us that everything we have is a gift from God (1 Chronicles 29:14). As you give both faithfully and sacrificially, the mission of God advances, the gospel is preached, lives are touched, & Churches are strengthened; and you, in turn, are blessed by God so that you can give again.
Ways to Give
1. Sunday Worship Gatherings
Each Sunday, as part of our corporate worship, we can joyfully respond to God’s generosity towards us by placing checks or cash in the offering. If you are someone who likes to give cash and would like a tax-receipt at the end of the year from W3CU, you can give via cash envelopes, available at the church.
2. Online Bill Pay
Use your bank’s bill pay feature to set up recurring donations at no charge to W3CU or you. Your bank’s online banking system should be able to guide you through this process. Donations should be made payable to: Winchester Church of Christ in Christian Union, PO Box 356, Winchester OH 45697. Your bank will send the a check, and we will record it towards your giving records just as if you had written the check yourself.
3. Give Online
To give online, whether it be a one time gift or recurring, all you need to do is click the button below. After clicking, you will be redirected to a secure page hosted by Simply Said, where you will be able to setup a new account using your personal information. After your personal and banking information is entered, you can specify the amount and frequency of your giving.
What are these funds used for?
Every penny given at W3CU goes toward the work and ministry of the church. Funds go to the direct support of this local church and are used to pay staff salaries, cover administrative/operational costs, and promote the work of various internal ministries.
Are online gifts tax deductible?
Yes. Giving online is just like giving in person. At the end of each year, we distribute statements to each individual donor that outline the gifts they gave during that calendar year.
