WK 2_Ephesus for Busy People

Chris Johnson

What do you usually say when people ask what or how you are doing?

BUSY? The truth is you probably are very busy.

We admire people who are busy, sometimes we boast about being busy. Being busy makes us feel important, it helps us avoid things we’d rather not think about—we have created a culture of being busy.

I started with asking you how you answer the question, “How are you?”

Most people say, “Busy.” Or “So busy!” or, “Crazy busy!”

It has become so in-grained in how we think about ourselves and life—we feel guilty when we don’t think we’re busy enough.

For most people though it’s hard to not be busy—it’s work!

Do you every get tired of being busy?

I long for a free Saturday in the fall a lot of times.

Sometimes we forget there are things we miss when we’re busy.
