Effective Parenting: Somehow I Manage
Some days, parenting feels a lot like Michael Scott's famous line: "Somehow I manage." 😄
I've only been a parent for a little over seven years, and I've made my share of mistakes. But one thing God keeps reminding me is that parenting isn't about being perfect—it's about having the right foundation.
Jesus said that the person who hears His words and puts them into practice is like someone who builds their house on the rock. The storms still come, but the house stands.
That's the kind of parent I want to be—not flawless, but rooted in Christ.
Leading by example. Being quick to apologize. Loving generously. Praying often. Making time for the little moments that matter.
At the end of the day, my greatest hope isn't that my daughter has a perfect life—it's that she knows who she is in Christ and builds her life on Him.
The rest? Somehow, by God's grace, we manage.
