Next week we will be all done with the gifts and just be cleaning up and preparing for the

New Year. We move so fast from one thing to the next that sometimes we can forget that Christmas

is supposed to be about Great Joy! I don’t know that many movies feature a more joyful character than today’s movie.

Now if you know me – you know I love to laugh and today I hope you laugh a little too.

In 1904 a poet named Bessie Anderson Stanley wrote this famous line, “He has

achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much.

I like that – Live well – laugh often – love much. That’s a great motto to live by, Now some say – “is it really appropriate for there to be so much laughter in church?” Well in short – yes – in fact in the Bible,

Psalm 2:4 it says, “The One enthroned in heaven laughs.”
