You Asked For It_The Holy Spirit

today we are going to talk about the Holy Spirit. I am going to tell you now that we can’t cover everything about the Holy Spirit in one message. This is going to be an appetizer, I am just going to whet your appetite and make you want a relationship with the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit. So I want to offer you a short message, but I want to give you some tools for you to do a deeper dive into who and what of the Holy Spirit. There are a couple of books I would recommend to provide you with some insights into the Holy Spirit.

We are in Week #3 of a series called, “You Asked For It.” I’m thinking this is about the 3rd time we have done this series where we take the occasion that is Easter to ask you some questions where we, as a staff, can actually find out what you are interested in. This past Easter one of the questions, which we have asked every time, was what are some of the topics that you would like to hear messages on. And we do that  because Jesus did that. A lot of his sermon content came from questions the crowd posed. The rest of the year Pastor Chris prays and brings messages on what he thinks God is telling him you need, but you get to kind of control this series.

Another book, this one is on the practical application of having the Holy Spirit at work in your life. Very down to earth and easy to read.
